Wishes he had SKY so he could watch Going Postal.
I hope some day, for some reason, David Duchovny is investigated by the FBI. Because that would make a great story.

You're probably fortunate enough to not be Alex-shaped though!

I think that Red Dead Redemption might be a teensy bit racist.

How so?

Every single Mexican man you meet (and you go to Mexico so that's quite a few) is depicted as being a sleazy, backstabbing, unpleasant, womanizing, sh*t. Even the one guy who you decided to team up with is a c*nt. The women are all wh*res as well.

Oh dear! The English Defense League and Unite Against Facism are both marching in town on Saturday and both marches end at either end of the street I work on. We've already planned to keep the street furniture indoors but I desperately hope Billy doesn't see this as an opportunity to reach a wider community with flyers because I've experienced rioting before and it is NOT fun (well it is a little bit fun but not when you're in a work uniform).

Rioting is mega

Hmm. I was not particularly impressed with "Our Tragic Universe".

Scarlett Thomas does love homeopathy. I don't know why, but it's starting to bug me.

because for homeopothy to work would involve us having to discard everything we know about science?

Well it's not that that's bugging me. I'm ok with 1 book whose main character is a homeopathy geek, cos then it's a character quirk. But to mention homeopathy in all three latest books, well it's just gotten annoying. But at least this time her main character wasn't given an "A" name.

Oh gosh - how come you did not like it so much?

Also, all her books are about lots of ideas she really likes. It is lots of fringey and theorectical things. All her books are stories and research mixed together, I think.

It hurts too much not to try.
