Torrential high seas dragged me to my knees

Yes, there is so much apathy surrounding it these days. No one seems to read it anymore. And that's because it's crap. But why should it be? Why can't those old schoolers who are still lurking about here and in other places e-mail in again, try and make the place what it once was? Has it died because a new wave of newbies came in, or because people just gave up and moaned about it instead?
Amy, aka TheUnitedTruth, voiced the same opinions in the shoutbox today. To be honest she's the inspiration for this post.

I call on you all to join together and let's at least try to revive it to it's former glory! It didn't die, we did, I think. Where's the Zine spirit nowadays? Can you remember asking people if they read page 142? That spirit could live again. Unite and send in e-mails again, let's at least try to revive it.

Those who are simply going to call this a waste of time can f*ck off. It's at least going to be fun. It's at best going to create a new era of 'good old Zine days' to look back on.

Get the campaign started and start e-mailing. We can do it!

well, lets be careful not to hype this up so much- and eventually produce nothing new or special- and ruining it's cult status, don't make this a Ziner : Reloaded.

Silvan tried writing in a few mnthns back and they were hilarious letters (she showed me them) but WLW didnt print then, presumably because of the email address situation.

Her email address is no longer silvan_draconis@.... so WLW, common sensically, thinks its an imposter. despite her writing style being so distinctive.

im very rarely still misunderstood flapdoodle as i have become vary lazy and dropped the misunderstood bit (unless using yahoo ID actually)
if i think of anuything interesting i shall write it down and try to remember to send it in, but people writing in for the sake of it may not have the inspirational stuff needed.

I've tried to write in regularly to Zine, but due to high laziness factor, can barely be bothered some days.

Many of the new Ziners (Hey, my first one was over a year ago, I'm not new any more) just irritate the hell out of me. Especially Spikey Stuy. I may have to destroy him on the battlefields of Zine.

I've got a good reason for disliking new WLW anyway, apart from the obvious one (He's/she's crap). I refuse to suck up to WLW, and so I barely ever get printed *tiny violins*. In fact, the best letter I ever sent (I think, at least) was one where I asked in a mock-sympathetic way why he/she wasn't funny any more. Never got printed. Git.

Not here much.

Initially I thought "Zine revivial? F*ck that!" But now I've had a ponder and...

..."to the Tongy Tank! This is WAR!"

note to self - get the tracks fixed. That sticking plaster's been on there ages now, dunno how much longer it'll hold together!

Too often we lose sight of life's simple pleasures. Remember, when someone annoys you, it takes 42 muscles in your face to frown. But it only takes 4 muscles to extend your arm and slap the motherf*cker upside the head.

The whole point, though, is to get 'Zine back to the page of strange, unusual and hilarious observations on life that it used to be before the attack of the clones (or newbies- whatever)

I withdraw what i said somwhere about WLW trying to be funny- but not having anything to work with.

today a letter was printed where somone said something along the lines of "I'm going to see Busted in concert, who else will be there?" that was it- no comebacks or jokes. just asking who else would go. I actually wondered if that was printed on the right page.

I will join in with the ZRC and I hope it gets enough support, I can't believe how it has changed from what it was to what it is.

Yeah, I know. SRD, ye lazy b*gger...

But then again, you aren't missing anything much. Briggie, Jaffa Cake and Busted loving newbies, etc.

There is a couple of interesting people, such as TheUnitedTruth and Topper, but it's still mostly dross.

And I will destroy Spikey Stuy at some point. Can I borrow your tank, Tongy?
