The current member rankings have been used for almost a year, perhaps it's time to change them (we could make this an annual event, maybe)?

Good idea, I've never had good ideas for this - so a yearly thing is fun

Pirates suck though, ninjas are much better. Ninjas who are also doctors are even better…

Yeah they do, they aren't the suckiest thing in the world, but they are pretty sucky on the suckiness scale.

Nothing specific of a specific game/show/etc., because there will be people who dislike that.

Here are some considerables:
Food
Dinosaurs
VRers

none of those would work though, you need something with scale, an army theme might work, something like:

0-19 In drill training
50-99 New recruit
100-499 field Soldier
500-999 sergeant
1000+ leiutenant
green mods: Colonals
blue mods: generals
Loony: Major

only in an actual order *has no clue how the army works*

Already had that one at the beginning. no-one liked it

I guess a pirate theme would be very popular. But I'd only accept it if I got to be a ninja…

VR'ers could be confusing - not sure how it would work really - Dinosaurs is pretty good though, and food might be fun.

The ones we have now are the best we've had for a long time IHMO, but I think it is a great idea to change them once a year

0-100: A pirate of the carribean... one of the crap ones...
101-500: You are Blackbeard. You sissy.
501-1000: Silver Long-Johns and a cutlass fer ye!
1001-more: Drinkup, me-harty, yo-ho! Rum all round.
even more: NINJAAAAAAAAAAA

I dont see how fitting ninja into a pirate theme could work which is a shame, really.

just have ninja's and be done with it.

We all are greedy aren't we, we've just had a big update, with all the old posts being archived and a reshuffle, not to mention the new look and templates; and all we do is moan that you could rename the music board and allow other stuff in it, get a better code for the shoutbox that auto updates (i.e. that gabbly thing), come up with new titles for the various merits all the people who use the site regularly have, not to mention go on about trivial things like the photo gallery not matching in colour with any of the other colour schemes bar blue. We're never happy are we?

I'd be the only ninja, you lot can be pirates. As long as I'm a ninja, then it's cool 8)

Nobody actually mentioned Chuck Norris, did they? TI could have sworn he was part of the Ninja idea Carrie Ann mentioned, but it looks like that was just a beautiful dream. Still, if it's doable, aces, I'll kick all yo asses. Except Mr. Miagi...

Only you mentioned Chuck Norris...

0-10 = Eighth henchman on the left: I slowly attack and get beaten by the hero one at a time

11-19 = Tum Tum from Three Ninjas: Hulk Hogan babysits me.

20 - 49 = Hilary Sw*nk in that bad Karate Kid sequel: Lame.

50-99 = Ralph Macchio: I suck in general

100-499 = Chris Farley: Beverly Hill Ninja

500-999 = Jackie Chan: I was pretty damn good once.

1000 - 1500 = Chuck Norris: Superman owns a pair of Chuck Norris pajamas.

1500+ = Bruce Lee:  I'm like Jet Li, only much, much better. Bow.

Loony= Mr Miyagi: Paint my fence

I like those, but I think they should be stretched out a bit further, lots of people have way more than 1500.

Those are fantastic! Especially since Bruce Lee rules and is king of everything.

I agree with Antonia too, maybe 1-200 could be the same threshold... maybe.

Yep, deffo. Perhaps strecthing out so that Bruce Lee is over 5000 or something. There's a lot of people with a lot of posts. But the content is sound

Also Karate from "Batfink", and Stephen Chow (Kung Fu Hustle) and Tony Jaa (Ong-Bak), and Ryu.
We could have lots of levels.
