Corey Taylor (Slipknot) is the new frontrunner to front Velvet Revolver. But they are close to announcing a new singer
Yeah I've heard that rumour and he's definitely a more obvious fit for them than Patton. But wasn't it Matt Sorum saying they were almost ready to announce a new singer and then the rest of the band came out and said he jumped the gun? To be fair I imagine it's very possible they've spoken to Patton and Taylor. Patton has a completely free schedule at the moment, just finished the FNM reunion tour and no current plans with any of his other bands as far as I can tell. Corey Taylor's schedule is a lot more hectic at the moment but if he did join I imagine it would be more permanent than Patton, he gets bored quickly and easily. I think they both have great voices and am a fan of both their current outputs so would happily see either of them as the frontman of VR.
I just want to see A frontman of VR. Been almost 3 f*cking years. And because of how busy I was with college, I missed my chance to see them play TWO F*CKING WEEKS before Scott left!
Mal: Appears we got here just in the nick of time. What does that make us? Zoë: Big damn heroes, sir. Mal: Ain't we just.
The first album is totally brilliant but I never really dug the second. Last year I saw Slash solo and Stone Temple Pilots with Scott on the same day so I'm calling that as having seen them
Yeah, the second half of the second album never really interested me.
And since we're meant to be posting tunes:
And one from the Snakepit

So… Posting a new thread is Fission Mailing… so I’m putting this here.
Emma:
I know there aren’t many people looking at this anymore… but I have made the decision to stop paying for the VR hosting and to let the domain lapse.
Emma:
I think it will be going offline around the end of May
Emma:
It’s been almost 10 years since James passed away… and I feel like it’s time.
