In response to Ken Cooper, I would have loved James Purefoy as Bond, a great actor. I can't stand Daniel Craig, overrated as Bond and a horrible man in real life. William Farrell, Coventry

Give Lee a knighthood!

Give Christopher Lee a knighthood! He is a living legend, the last of a rare breed. It is no wonder the world's top directors, Peter Jackson, Tim Burton, Spielberg, George Lucas and the like all command his presence in their pictures! A Bafta fellowship would also be more than worthy. Rob Hughes

Toilet Ghosts

Sometimes on dark nights, peanuts come back to haunt bathrooms everywhere! They appear by dreadful magic in the toilet with devil's spawn and on occasion the h*ll spaw sesame seed demons!

To spot these paranormal activities you need Yvette Fielding, a strong stomach and to be brave enough to face sulphurous smells from beneath.

Not-So-Fancy Dress

Ahh Halloween is upon us once again, the one time in the year where it's OK for me to dress up as a woman. Why, you may ask, wouldn't dracula be more appropriate? But what's scarier than a 6'4" man in a flowery dress?

Fluffy The Evil One

A 6'4" bearded woman in a flowery dress perhaps? Mabel just doesn't listen- floral prints do nothing for her.

Praise for Langella

It is good to see praise for Frank Langella as Skeletor, but Langella has also portrayed one of the most romantic and charismatic Draculas on screen (and on stage) as can be seen from John Badham's 1979 film Dracula.

A very underrated film with the bonus of Laurence Olivier playing Van Helsing as he should be portrayed. Rosie Gilbert, Andover, Hants

Death Magnetic is one h*ll of an album. It shows that hyped bands will always be average when greatness knocks on your door, and their performance on Later Live sealed the deal. I don't know what Andy expected from the album, it was either that or St Anger II. Everyone wanted a proper Metallica album, and they got it. Yonis Jama

The True Horror

Here's a tip for the most frightening costume to wear trick or treating this Halloween. It's not a ghost, or a werewolf or a witch, or a vampire. It's not even a James Blunt mask and cape. No, the most terrifying apparition possible in October is that red-coated buffoon himself, Father Christmas.

Trolleyed

There are trolls in my flat. They are lovely... except on Halloween, when they turn into zombies. Who will save me? Perhaps elden ray will let me hide in her time machine. Maybe Vigilante Maelstrom will zap them with his glasses. Or perhaps One Winged Angel and Satan's Little Helper will lend me a sword and a pitchfork.

Acid Rain

So there I was, kicking about when some clouds came over and acid rain popped out. Now you might think that this would only be dangerous to monuments and limestone and stuff, but no. While I agree that Snail that Sam's Town is a disappointing album, I wouldn't say Read My Mind is my only highlight. When You Were Young and For Reasons Unknown were also standouts. A Ghost Story

I live in the most haunted village in Britain. We have been cursed.
Our houses were built on the site of an horrific medieval battle.
The fallen knights haunt us. They scream and whisper, and invade our sleep with visions of their terrible slaughters.
We cry, oh, we cry, awaiting our exorcism.

I'm glad Dubstar are reforming, but what about Sarah Blackwood's new band Client? They've gone from strength to strength. Also, I feel sad for the negativity towards Ashlee Simpson's new album. Unlike her past rock ones, Bittersweet Word is brave, exciting pop: much better than the Max Martin pop from America.

My Afternoon Shocker

It was 1.45pm. The TV was on and I was waiting. How would Susan react to the knowledge that Karl 'I look as though I have plastic hair' Kennedy is having a baby to Izzy the dizzy blonde?

Has anyone else seen this movie? I have to say that it is comedic genius, with many laugh out loud jokes.

Violent film scenes

You mentioned Irreversible in your violent films feature, but it was the r*pe scene that was the controversy. Three films you didn't mention were Murder-Set-Pieces, Scrapbook and ichi the killer. The first is banned and the other two cut.

All had scenes which are disturbing to some people. I'm desensitised to violence in films, I look at them as entertainment and that's that, whatever people and the media say. James, Harlow

What albums are Voiders looking forward to in the next couple of months? Oasis, Keane and Kaisers are anticipated, but for me it's Ben Folds on September 29.
