Cold?

So you used to put coins in the oven to try and keep warm, WLW? That's nothing. When I was younger my family were so poor we had to rub two ice cubes together to keep warm in the winter. My mate Chilly Willy had a similar experience too, until he got frostbite, but that's a whole different story.

I had a look at Comet Holmes - not really all that impressive even though it is now a million times brighter than usual. It's just a fuzzy blob, not like Hale-Bopp in 1997. I mean, that was a comet. They've all been let downs ever since.

The hour of rest

It's difficult to work out which hour of the day I should use in which to rest. Being one to whom the concept of somnia as perceived by normal people is alien. I worry about it, However, as I get paid for watching (er, yeah, and reporting stroke researching) telly, it seems appropriate to choose 2 to 3 in the afternoon, while the pub is quiet. I need a real job (hint).

Fireworks Farce

I'm glad all that fireworks nonsense is finished again. Honestly, humans will look at anything if it's bright and makes a loud noise - never mind that it's your council tax being set fire to in those municipal displays.
At least now our local government can get back to spending its money properly: on Christmas lights and pseudo-celebrities to turn them on. Hurrah!

The 400-year-old clam recently discovered off the coast of Finland has died. After appearing on Gordon Ramsay's F Word, the clam was accidentally eaten by an overly zealous customer, Ms Fattama Gloop. Ms Fattama said of the incident, "Mmm... mmm... mmm... tasty... mmm".
Mr Ramsay was unavailable for comment, but is said to be "bleeping angry".

I often wonder, as an irate pigeon, whether there are any other irate pigeons in the world. I am seeking a mate. As a female of the species, I'd like to explain why there are no baby pigeons. We are similar to hobbits. We pop up from holes in the ground but, unlike Frodo, we don't have hairy feet. A shame, as it would keep me warm in the cold, cold winter.

I was told I was the "cutest, most evil person ever", and I got married. Well, not a real marriage. It's an online marriage that only exists within one website.

So I've just seen Beowulf; it was quite funny seeing chavs seeing it and barely understanding it. Well, that's culture for them. Still, I would've thought it would be in Anglo-Saxon like when my grandfather does it.

Well it seems Christmas was only last week, but it's almost upon us again. The Christmas lights were switched on in town last night, which consisted of a few bulbs and a bit of Band Aid on a Juke Box.
I made a fortune selling salmonella burgers from my mobile van though.

I've been reading the Zine for about a year, but this is my first letter. Am I still a newbie?

Emma: I know there aren’t many people looking at this anymore… but I have made the decision to stop paying for the VR hosting and to let the domain lapse.
