There are things I want to say, and there's not really any place to say them, so I'll put them down here for a bit to get them out of my head.
We had a f*cked up relationship (both your term and mine), which probably (OK, definitely) led to a lot of stresses on both sides. You were a stubborn, competitive b*st*rd as am I. Why we both played chicken eating hot chillies and using XXX HOT sauce (sorry Darren
) I can't remember. But we did, and it was fun. Stupid, but fun.
Staying up all night drinking when you came back after your mum died. And then subsequent nights, because it became a theme. Late night insomnia chats, and actually getting serious about stuff. Because you understood my head and the way I reacted. Hopefully I helped you, too.
You were a very close friend. I just wish I'd been there when you died, instead of you being on your own. I just wish your body had waited until Saturday when I would have been there. x

This time, it happened again. (Only also interspersed with small hallucinations of Gary Numan popping about. Thank-you migraine medication and sleeping pills. But I think you'd laugh at that.)
