Ah right then, cause you have to start taking it at the beginning of your period right? Mine were like that but only for the first month (and when I say "like that" I mean it lasted about 3 weeks... I'm on Ovranette, it rocks. The pill was my savior. I went on it to help with my cramps and try shorten my periods. I used to get 8-14 day periods with cramps lasting for at least a week, thats halved now... gettin 5-7 day periods with cramps lasting 2-3 days. I'm lucky that evening primrose oil has kicked most of the cramps up the a*se as well 
but periods suck, big time. And blokes just don't understand, which is almost as annoying!
