wombat - Technically sexy.

Technically sexy.

Hello.

It has constantly been said that my taste in music has the common theme of being horrifically depressing.

This is, sadly true, unless I point them in the direction of the Shins, the Little ones, torpedo boyz, etc.

Still- I want some happy music in my life- any suggestions?

Thank you in advance!

Crystal Castles is fun.

Crystal Castles are one of my pet hates. Basically because they're a joke band put together by some industry types who thought "hey, if we tell everyone that this is the coolest band in the world, I wonder if we can sell white noise".

I don't really do happy music, I suppose Klaxons is my happy album.

Hehe no, but it's a row I like having. There's a girl at work who screams at me about Crystal Castles.

Going through my iTunes, a fair few of the songs I find uplifting are incredibly depressing a la Eels.

But;

Let My Love Open the Door - Pete Townshend
I Can't Control Myself - The Troggs
Cecillia - Simon and Garfunkel / Suggs
And Your Bird Can Sing - The Beatles
They Don't Know About Us - Kirsty MacColl
Good Morning Britain - Aztec Camera
And Then He Kissed Me - The Crystals
Wear You to the Ball - U-Roy
Jimmy Jimmy - The Undertones
Automatic Lover - The Vibrators
Concrete & Clay - Unit 4 Plus 2
Medicine Show - Big Audio Dynamite
Mony Mony - Tommy James and the Shondells

Should tide one over.
