So, '99 to '08, what has been your favourite album from each year?

Mancomb Seepgood - Grog me.

Grog me.

I sense some influence from a Facebook status.  With some minor research:

99: Magnetic Fields - 69 Love Songs
00: Modest Mouse - The Moon and Antarctica edges it in a very strong year (Relationship of Command, The Great Eastern, Lift Yr Skinny Fists)
01: Avalanches - Since I Left You (or Asleep in the Back by Elbow)
02: The Libertines - Up the Bracket
03: The Wrens - Meadowlands
04: Hope of the States - The Lost Riots
05: The National - Alligator
06: Arctic Monkeys - Whatever People Say I Am... (or Sleepy Jackson - Personality)
07: The National - Boxer
08: Robert Forster - The Evangelist

How is it? I love the latest one and would like a bit of a delve into their back catalogue.

If anything, the latest one is the least good of their career. Definately dig deep, they're brilliant. Bits of My Bloody Valentine in there too.

John Cage Bubblegum -

I'm yet to understand what all the fuss is about the latest M83 album. Before the Dawn Heals Us is good in places (Teen Angst especially) but too bombastic for its own good in others. I'd say Dead Cities... is his/their most consistent effort to date.
