Indie getting its act together again. A big exciting new band to grab the scene by its neck and shake, a la the Strokes in 2001.
New Strokes and Yeah Yeah Yeahs albums. Actually I'm kinda looking forward to new Green Day stuff too.
White Lies' album to not just be an Editors copy but have a bit more of their early promise.
Scouting For Girls to die in a big horrible plane crash.

More bands taking the Prince/Nine Inch Nails/Saul Williams/Radiohead option of music distribution.

The industry to realise it's dying and adopt this or an 'Oink!' style approach.

John Cage Bubblegum -

Looking forward to the Sky Larkin album in February, they're a good little band. I quite fancy the singer as well, which helps. Other than that I don't really know what to expect, though it would be nice if MF Doom and My Bloody Valentine (lolz, etc) got round to putting some new material out.

Sparklehorse, Midlake, maybe Band of Horses, but mostly of course, more than anything else im looking forward to in '09.........Jason Lytle should finally get his new material out, and this time around I'm gonna buy it straight away, and not have to trawl round the bloody internet ten years later paying ten times the price. From what i've heard so far, it's gonna be great, jason back at his best.
When you get here, the Welcome To This Town sign, it scares little kids with it's skulls and it's gore
When you leave here, the Get The Hell Out sign is well kept and pretty with floral decor
