They were an okay group with a few above average songs that suffered from being so far up their own arses.

Queen were f*cking sh*t, but Bulsara had a great set of pipes on him.

Paul Rodgers was the singer in Free, who sang All Right Now, and very little else. As someone said on the Void the other day, it's like, instead of becoming New Order, Joy Division would have become 'Joy Division and Tony Hadley'.

Who's going to make the thread when the new oasis album comes out accusing them of being a beatles tribute band and using a rhyming dictionary to write their lyrics?

I like Oasis, they've made some good songs over the years and Noel's an engaging kind of character. This new single sounds crap though, it's a shame they lost that focus they had on Don't Believe the Truth.

WRONG!

I'm not, you know. Their melodies really drag, his voice is "please take me seriously as a tortured artist" and the lyrics are year ten moping. I'm going to delete every Nirvana song I have on my itunes except a few off the Unplugged album.

Have you ever actually listened to Bleach?

I got to admit, no. I picked up Nevermind in a big HMV sale ages back and got sent the majority of Unplugged by a well-meaning mate on MSN over a period of days. I've listened to In Utero, but that was a while back round round the same mate's house, kicking her a*se on Backyard Wrestling, so I don't really remember it.

I've got Dee Dee Ramone's cover of Negative Creep.

What would you recommend me to download from Limewire?

I find Bleach a bit too "four of this, four of that" in structure, but really like In Utero, Unplugged and, occasionally, Nevermind.

As ever with Nirvana, they are underrated by those that hate them and overrated by those love them. I used to like them back in the nineties, can't say I listen to them that much anymore though, despite having most of their back catalogue on my computer. My only problem with Nevermind is that I probably listened to it too much years ago, when I was just getting into music. I prefer In Utero's rougher sound, though the songs vary from brilliant to filler.

Better than the feckin Foo fighters anyway.

Analrapist.

It was always going to be rotten, but it's the album's title that really gets me. 'The Cosmos Rocks', ffs, could it get any more naff? At least it's fittingly poor, though.
