Like the title contradictive

Happy yet depressing story

Now is that salary pre or post tax?

100% of Earth's population agrees with the following statement.

"Forces should be spending their time catching rapists and murders and not worry about piracy theft."

Captain Spiky - Cockwomble

Cockwomble

Where's the happy bit, Sammy? I don't see it.

That's a powerful story, no doubt about it. And if I were a psychiatrist I could probably come to several slightly worrying conclusions about the author.
It's good though. Definitely. There were several lines I really liked - the whole concept of "identical, but not" is a fascinating one. It seems to be all about inadequacy, and the contrast between the 2 of them brings that sharply into focus.

And the title makes me think of Peter Cook, which is never a bad thing.
Now that we're here we may as well go too far.

"I smash the silver surprise of the blunt knife into her perfect face."

Nice line.

A generally very good bit of work there.
I hope some day, for some reason, David Duchovny is investigated by the FBI. Because that would make a great story.
