Lines and lines and lines and lines and lines!

You can kick and demand
And battle and bruise
And moan and complain
And attack and abuse
You can argue and conflict
And force and upset
And keep on upsetting
And feel no regret

I am much stronger
Than you'd like to think
You can push me and pull me
Bring me to the brink
But I'll never let on
To my burning insides
You can just keep hating
It's just you I'll despise.

Written for the b***ards who kept coming into the school uniform shop I worked at over the summer - who could not be wrong, could they? Oh no... they were always right... I've been working here months, so no, I have no idea what I'm doing

Stewie: But will you be prancing when. . .when. . when there's nothing to prance about? Hmm? Will you be prancing then? (Family Guy)

Lines and lines and lines and lines and lines!

In Their Tracks

and again
I watch as the
boot
places itself firmly
on my chest
and uses me as a
stepping-stone

one day I'll refuse

I'll stake my place
without fear of the
tread
that contentedly
stomps all over my
bed
of roses

Lines and lines and lines and lines and lines!

The First Night

Tranquillity has settled
over you,
washed away the
sweet, bubbled lusts,
and lulled you
into a gorgeous slumber.

As the world
swims outside,
here,
there is the fallout.

Slow throbs of memories,
echoes, whispers,
reminders,
reminders,
sweet sweet
reminders.

The hushed sound of
your cooled breath warms me,
we're here, we're hidden,
but for all the world to see.

Writen the day after the day after Valentines day this year. Is accompanied by very very good memories

Lines and lines and lines and lines and lines!

Since when did my feet stop walking
and my body start to float?
Since when did the floor seem so far away?

There's nothing keeping me upright
except your arms around my waist:
I'm falling in more ways than one

Elusive Moose - Get your Antlers on

Get your Antlers on

Although I really like the third one, I'm not sure about the repetition in the penultimate paragraph. It doesn't seem to fit with the tone of the rest of the poem. Apart from that it's really good.
"You can't roast infants. You just don't get away with it."- a life lesson for us all.

Lines and lines and lines and lines and lines!

A certain sadness in conversation,
Routinely asking questions
Where the answers stay the same.

Needing time together, but for
now, distance we'll weather,
'till the tide turns round again
and we can be ourselves.

Wanting in desparation
to warm that cold suffocation
twisting round my heart
and starving out my tears;
displayed for all to see.

A new one for you
