Your idea isn't bad in theory, but I don't think it could ever work .

I wanted something like this about 4 and a half years ago when i cheated on a girlfriend and wanted to cover my tracks. Denied. In the end i deleted about 1500 of my posts.

could just get the site taken off the wayback machine.

maybe make the site only accessible by registering/logging in.

i agree. Not many new people have joined recently anyway.

The archive board is a manual process, and it isn't visible to guests. I tried automatic, but it was a world of hurt.

Not visible to guests should be enough security for the casual "google search your name". As everyone has said; if someone really wants to find dirt on you, they can - no matter how you try and hide it.

I'll sort out moving a load of threads there - I think 2 years worth of stuff is enough to keep "current" - that's the first 50 pages or so to keep, and archiving off a hundred pages. It'll probably time-out if you try and move that many threads at once, and could possibly f*ck up - so it's best if I do it I reckon.
