Browser Inoperability

Whats with the "browser not compatible with these buttons" message instead of the yabbc tag buttons? they are compatible as in the put the tag into the message box, just not fully compatible as in they put it round a selection or whatever it does in IE. now i'll have to do a bit of guesswork and more typing instead of clicking...

It means you have javascript turned off in the browser. What browser are you using?

I've got Javascript enabled in mozilla and k-meleon and it makes no difference unfortunately.

so you are telling me that the buttons don't show up in mozilla for you? - on the post page, and on the quick reply box? - what versions are you using?

ahhhhhhhh sh*t yeah, im using Opera and i turned them off to access an annoying site which uses javascript to do redirect to the homepage and i forgot to turn it back on *slaps head*

ah rite, well with mine, i can see all the buttons and everything, but when i highlight text and click Italics for example, it just sticks the tags on the end of the line. I'm not really bothered, i never use them anyway.

yeah, that's a known issue, it doesn't work in mozilla...

well there might be another (non IE-only) way of writing the javascript... *ponders*

there is indeed another way, but it's flaky - it's being worked on though
