how do i get a picture in my posts?

It's called an Avatar, if you look in your profile there is a section about it, there is a drop down list of all the avatars you can choose. So select one, you will see a preview of it, now click save at the bottom of the page, and it will be done 
If you want, you can use any photo on the internet (please make sure it's about the right size...) simply put the entire URL into the field provided. eg
http://www.site.com/image.jpg
that should do it.

you spelt synergised with an 's' but the actual URL is spelt with a 'Z'... try that link above, and it will work no problem
on a side note... you should get a smaller picture really... 100x100 is what is suggested, if you put a big picture in like that, it will slow down the rest of the site for people... it's not too big though, so it should be OK. but for future reference anyway..
