To get into the mood I have Absolute 90s playing full blast in the background. Listening to Green Day and the like, just as I was doing in the glory days of Megazine. (And pretty much all the days since, to be fair.)

Hey! This post takes us up to 2014, since then I've had a commitment ceremony with my partner, had two more kids (the youngest of which is just under two weeks old), spent several years working at a train station and now I'm driving trains, and general adulting throughout.

For me this is feeling like a genuine Friday night out from back in the day. I've just been jumping around to Block Rockin Beats by the Chemical Brothers, I'm wondering whether I'm cool enough to actually be here, and I'm feeling out of touch and struggling to keep up with who everyone is. It's that wonderful mix of fun and awkwardness.

I think Eurovision 2020 should work like the schools, and we should get marks based on the teachers' projected scores. Maybe the UK wouldn't do nearly so badly.

It's a galvanised steel coal bunker type contraption with some crates of pepsi and some spirits in it.

Including some Gingerbread morgans spiced.
