i was in a strangely-named shop today and i heard some woman use the phrase dolly bird. So it isn't just my father who says it.

"So, Barry, what did you do at work today?"
"Fffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff*ck all!"

Jesus H F*ck, there is nothing to do at work today. And possibly f*ck all to do for the rest of the week.

I'm so bored, and there's only so far I can stretch out the little things I have been doing while actually being on the internet before they start getting suspicious. And even then, there's still nothing for me to do apart from busywork like tidying up and stuff.

Man, after being really busy the last few weeks (even months), things have drastically slowed down.

Just said the cleverest thing I'll probably say today, and it's not even lunchtime. I've peaked too soon.

They're all daft, but yes. From the song 'Fortune Faded':

You took a town by storm the mess you made was nominated.
Oh I, do you
Now put away your welcome soon you'll find you've overstayed it.
Hey now, every time I lose
Altitude.

The mess you made was nominated? Nominated for what; Worst Mess?

Put away your welcome?

Every time I lose altitude? Every time what? Why do you lose altitude every time? Use your words to explain to me what the problem is! I can't help you if you don't give me all the information!

Yeah see I work at the other end of the spectrum, with the elderly, and they're like children without the glitter and glue but all of the sh*tting, p*ssing and tantrums, and I'd STILL prefer to work with old people than kids. Such is my HATRED of all kids I am not immediately related to.

I just had to clean my Grandads a*se. After standing beside him whilst he shat. And cleaned the toilet after him which looked like a plasterer's radio, if the plasterer had shat on it*

i remember that i once watched a programme in the 1990s; i think it was part of a BBC thing called Video Diaries. The bloke who made it worked in an old people's home and he said that he thought he might kill himself once he got to a certain age and that people were better off dead once they got too old. Also, i think i find children less annoying than old people. Not that i hate old people, though.

Edit: Oh, and i'm not condoning what the bloke from the programme said, i just thought i'd share my memory.

I could very easily fall out with her at this moment in time, but instead i'm just going to ignore the fact she has it all together and concentrate on my own sh*t before i go crazy*

it doesn't make sense to me at all why people would do something like that when the dog they have at the moment is hardly a bloody angel. the pup will pick up no end of bad habits from the older dog, and if she's go two bitches, they're going to fight.
Sigh. i need this imaverol to work on these pigs. if it doesn't i don't know what i'm going to do.

apart from maybe make up a bunch of batter for guinea pig tempura.

i went to Chepstow with the fiancé today. People there have accents that sound English; i s'pose it's because it's on the border. i've been there before but i never noticed that about accents until today.

Watching some jewellery teleshopping waiting for Whose Line Is It Anyway, they were selling an emerald ring. In the two minutes I watched, they dropped the price from £8,500 to £1,500. I know that's to entice people to buy, but if I had £2,000 and wanted an emerald ring, I wouldn't buy it on principle. First off, how much of a profit margin was on it in the first place? Like, 1000%? Secondly, if you can afford to sell it for £1,500, there must still be a profit margin, which means it's still worth less than that. Thirdly, you drop the price by about 80% in two minutes? Makes me think it's stolen.

So to summarise, I did not buy the emerald ring.

There used to be a post office a few miles away from me. It was there for years and then it closed. Then it was a s*x shop but that only lasted a couple of months. Perhaps because it's near a church and a Christian fellowship centre. Then it was a T-shirt printing shop for a couple of years. Today, i learnt that it's a café.

Yes, but I would have been crazy not to. They dropped the price from £1,000,000 to £29.95 in the space of 15 seconds. And they only had one left. What a bargain.

Channel 4, why oh why haven't you broadcast My Big Fat American Gypsy Wedding? I can only find 6 episodes of it to download and I just know that isn't enough to satisfy my desire for skanky illiterate virgins

Having watched it, I can see that channel 4 wouldn't want to broadcast it because so much of it is obviously staged and set up and they wouldn't want it to damage their reputation when it comes to making documentaries.

i think they damaged their reputation when they made The Undateables. i don't know much about those gypsy programmes, though as i've only ever watched one episode of the British version.
