OK, it was Diana. Just don't ever check that, or you'll be disappointed.

To answer Brian, I did indeed get a Go-Betweens album for Christmas, 16 Lovers Lane. Very good it is too. But, unlike Brian, I'm intrigued at the ide of a Lemonheads covers album. Their version of Whitney Houston's How Will I Know is brilliant, and their Mrs Robinson and Luka aren't too shabby either.

An album of original material would be preferable, though. Their self-titled album a couple of years ago rocked with their best. The Doc

As a new Voider, I'm disappointed in some people's attitudes to reality pop contestants. The X Factor is an entertainment show which leeches off controversy and debates among true music fans over its viability. Stop feeding the animals!

Also, after Jude's view that Roisin Murphy and Annie should form a supergroup of underrated pop stars, who else would deserve a place? Maybe Yazz could make a comeback. Uncle Guj

So, WLW, if this is your real age, I have a riddle for you. Three cats go inside a pub. Anyone who can't hear Bon Iver's lyrics on his For Emma, Forever Ago should hear him play at one of his concerts. You will hear every word sung, every chord played and every pin drop. I doubt DJ Gordy is familiar with Diane Warren's work, else he wouldn't have chosen the Star Trek Enterprise theme as a lame example. She also wrote Unbreak My Heart, How Do I Live, Because You Loved Me and I Don't Want To Miss A Thing.

Yes, they're all MOR, but Eurovision isn't about credibility. If we want a song with universal appeal that will hopefully win the judges over, I think Lloyd Webber has made the right choice. ID

Duffy advertising Diet Coke is just the iceberg tip when it comes to pop stars' egos and greed now. Lily Allen's chatshow, anyone? They'd eat poo from a can for money. Use your talents, twerps.

As for Croydon Ian calling Luke Haines a failure, he may irritate you but he's no failure. His music is good, and he's certainly not boring. As for "relevance", what has that got to do with whether pop music is good or not? Rob Hunt

Desperately seeking flyte

One Winged Angel I always assumed I was the youngest, being 16 and all. But that lord flyte stole my halo. Can Davord come out to play?

I guess he could be bribed out of the room. Any suggestions as to what with?

Fruit Bat Femme Is there a little lord sebastian out there? A new generation to worship the great Stephen Fry.

What is this, the flyte fan club?

I Am A Bird Now was Antony And The Johnsons' second album, not theirr debut as Earls stated in his review of their follow-up. Their eponymous debut was released in 2000. Chas&Morph

While it's nice that Earls enjoyed Ane Brun's new album, it's her fifth, not her first. Do some research. Steve Chorley

Earls: h*ll's bum, I had a worse day than I thought. I'm off for a refresher course in Janet & John's Music Reviewer Guide.

Cease of cake?

Why are we no longer allowed to mention J**** Cakes? To this part of a national health drive? Can we mention fairy cakes, pancakes or fruitcakes? Can a J**** Cake write in? Can we even mention the smashing OBITM?

The Anteater

When Ziners talk, WLW listens (sometimes). They've banished the J**** talk.

Old oak

It's my birthday on Wednesday, so Happy Birthday to me. I'm 203; Happy Birthday to me! Actually, I have to admit I'm really 205, but it doesn't really rhyme. I know it should be to "yew" but I'm a quercus. I am celebrating by shedding my leaves and getting drunk; cheers, hic. Now don't take advantage of me in this condishun, WLW, please.

The Barking Tree

Happy B'day, Barking Tree. Mind those candles don't set alight.

In a world where Katy Perry ("I pretend to be a lesbian to sell records") and Lady GaGa reign supreme, praise be for Little Boots' Stuck On Repeat. It's smart, no-nonsense pop from a woman who happens to be ace at what she does. I can't wait for her album.

I've been searching for a song for years from Murder In The Hamptons. It has the lyrics, "She'll never wait 'til morning/ Though she loves the sun and the rain shines." Help! Carly Hunt

Psycho by name

I see on Film4, they have the Korean film, Oldboy, on Friday night, so I'll be staying in to watch it. Who would've thought that not only can you do extensive dental work, but also take on bad guys and give them a beating with a claw hammer.

Still, I suppose eating a live octopus is a lot better than having to eat kimchi. Well, I'm going to get my claw hammer.

Princess Psycho

Given your name, that's not a statement I take lightly...

I've just witnessed a supposed Channel Four comedy, Plus One, which features a person from Blue. Yet they jail boy george. Vince McRaincoat

My favourite album of 2008 was Clouds With Silver by Lisa Redford. Gorgeous acoustic songs with hints of Americana, and beautifully sung. Produced by Martha Wainwright's husband Brad Albetta, it's had some great reviews. Here Alone is a real "Hairs on the neck" moment. Chris Angelis

Come the day

Janie Dust has been sniping at me this time. She says that I should get my brain in gear before I open my mouth. Well, how superior and what a cliché! I live in total and absolute confidence that one day I'll know what I'm talking about and what I'm doing. When that day comes, Janie would be wise to watch her back.

Grey Owl's Vagabond Cousin

Let us know when that day comes, will you?
