I Dont know what section to put this in so i have put it in this one

I Need someone who knows about computers to help me and my sh*te computer!

Recently my "windows media player" is not reading my music cd's (well only on a rare occasion) and it wont burn cd's atall, all of a sudden for some reason and i dont know why?! Is it the thing where you put the disc in thats f*cked?! or is it my actual computer? I need this problem fixed immidiatly as i have cd's to rip and it important!!!

Please help me people!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's probably the licenses. I found that problem as well. You just need to update them.

it could be that the cds you're trying to read are protected from being read on computers, or it could be something with windows media player of which i have no idea. try using a different program to rip the cd.

Go to tools --> license management, and follow the instuctions...

Maybe something simple like the lens is dirty. Try using a lens cleaner, might work

Or, use a different program to create your CDs with. Make sure you don't have RealPlayer or similar configured to read CDs.

Has the problem only just started? Have you recently updated Windows or Software and found its not working? Can it still read CD's?

I got that little b*st*rd off my computer. Stupid Dad downloaded it. DO NOT download it peoples. Say no and get viruses. They are slightly better than that sh*te.

it just stopped working, then i downloaded windows media 10 (i had 9) cos i thought it just might need updating but it still isnt working! Its so unfair
