Still tickets left for PJ Harvey in Manchester but I can't afford to go. Although the reason I can't afford it is cos of my imminent trip to New Orleans, Nashville and Memphis so I reckon it's a fair trade off.

Had to buy 2 new tyres for the car. Cost me €110.

But on the plus side, after he put the two new tyres on, I took the tyres of and switched them with the front ones (cos you're meant to have the best tyres on the front), meaning I changed all four tyres on my car. That's right. I am man.

Charlie's parents are splitting up, and he wants to live with his dad so that he isn't on his own, so if I want to live with Charlie I'll have to move to a house that's a mile from the nearest village and 12 miles from the nearest station.

BUT IT HAS A POOL AND A LAKE AND A BOAT.

Oh man, I'd fully be taking the boat out in the middle of the night with a bottle of tequila and some smokes and my guitar and sit there singing and strumming in the moonlight

Beautiful warm, sunny day, perfect for bingeing in the park or on my terrace. Won't be many more days like this this year, so should be out making the most of it. But I'm ill, so cider, cigarettes and spliffs are off limits

Got a sicknote for the rest of the week now though, so hopefully will be able to get back in the saddle this weekend once I've shifted this.

Similar to one of the above posts.

Beautiful day again today and was meant to spend it in the park with a flask of gin and tonic, getting slowly p*ssed in the sun. The boys (and girls) are all there soaking it up as we speak.

But I'm still f*cking ill so can't go out to play.

I got a phone call from UCL, offering me an interview this morning.

My interview is at 10 am THIS THURSDAY!

Yeah, like there's time to prepare for that, some people WORK! (And it seems that the majority of other grad trainees have had a couple of week's notice.)

So, basically, instead of working on it, all I am doing is panicking.

Saw a huge gang of nubile students dressed in schoolgirl outfits swanning through Headingley last week on the Otley run. Happens from time to time and is always a pleasant surprise.

There is a rumour going around at work that I offered a guy at work a one night stand and he turned me down (which is a gross exaggeration of a couple of silly comments taken out of context).

The guy in question keeps getting loads of stick from everyone being called gay etc. for saying no. Which I take as a complement

(Yesterday, the fiancé bought me an elephant bracelet. Today, he made me cry again.)

(Edit: He probably didn't mean to make me cry, though. But i didn't like the way he spoke to me. i didn't want him to know that he'd made me cry. So i tried to cry quietly.)

(Edit: i heard Boys Don't Cry on the radio a few minutes ago and that seemed ironic, somehow. But not that ironic because of course i'm female. )

Tomorrow, I'm going to see one of my all time favourite comedians, Paul F Tompkins, in Leicester Square. I've been looking forward to this show for months.

As usual, my mate's left me holding the baby to go and do something else, and I've only got two real friends, it turns out, so I've got a depressing second ticket that's probably going to go unused.

Londoners, anyone fancy a punt? My treat. You'd be doing me a favour by keeping me company that I'd return by being an exceptionally good, if alcohol free, time.
