Pearl died last June. Pearl was Marc's sister's dog. Pearl was lovely.

The Chinese takeaway closed down a few months ago.

In October, a woman and a man knocked on the door. The man started saying that there were a lot of bad things going on in the world and that some people feel isolated. Then he said that they were both Christians. The woman didn't say anything.

Also in October, i had a letter from my sister. i think my sister is a patronising know it all. And i think that she wants to make herself feels better. Also, she used the phrase autistic spectrum. i think that's a stupid phrase.

i've been in contact with my paternal uncle and aunt since October. Prior to that, i hadn't seen them since i was 18. My aunt seems to have a problem with me changing my name and has sometimes referred to me by my previous first name. On Wednesday, the 18th of December, i had a Christmas card from them and my aunt had put my previous first name on the card.

On Wednesday, the 18th of December, i had a Christmas card from my maternal cousin. And she put my previous last name on the envelope. i've had Christmas cards from her before but she doesn't usually do that.

On Thursday, the 19th of December, i walked to the city centre and back. And a woman came up to me and said that Jesus died for our sins. Then she said that God loves me.

It's 1am. You're seriously telling me the recycling needs putting out now? At this hour?

F*ck off. Tell me at 10. Or 11. 11pm is still a reasonable hour, but 1am, nah. It can wait. I've put the boy to bed, I'm in me pit already, it ain't happening.

Got our IT company to set up VPNs on Monday so we could work from home. We were going to go with a cheaper option, but they upsold us to the VPN for speed and reliability.

Two of the guys working from home, their VPNs won't work because it turns out if your internet is with Sky, their router doesn't allow it.

How the f*ck was this not flagged to us? I'm getting rid of these pricks. Everything with them is f*cking torture.
Mal: Appears we got here just in the nick of time. What does that make us?

This will make no sense and I'll likely delete it tomorrow, but maybe typing it out will help it unravel

I'm starting to think that maybe I'm a bit more messed up by something that happened years ago than I originally thought.
Though I don't think it's the event itself that's bugging me now.
I'm fairly set in the mindset that it happened and that's that.

I think what is bothering me more was how I dealt with it and how the people around me did. Or rather person. As I only told one person.
Because it would have screwed a lot of sh*t up telling anyone else.
But anyway.

Sh*t happens. If you go out & get so wrecked that all judgement goes out the window for both of you, sh*t happens. And by the time you have a second of clarity through the booze haze to realise what is going on, it's already done. And you were too frigging blotto to say no anyway.
And approximately 10 years of awkwardness ensues. I say 10 years. I still feel awkward. But I'm actually comfortable enough around this person again now that I can function properly around them.
… Except for a brief moment while driving home from helping them out, where i took a corner too fast in the dark and almost end up skidding his car off the road and in to a farmers field.
But I digress.

When I told the third party person the next day, their attitude was just like "they're good looking, though"
Glossing over a few points there, really weren't we?
I mean… she had a bit more information than I've put here, had also met this person and knew their background.
Main points are that we're very vaguely related, there's a 14 year age gap,I was p*ssed as a fart. (but so were they so judgement could have been off?
A recent brief mention in conversation leads me to believe this may be the case)

Anyway. I told her because the situation wasn't ideal. I wasn't good with the situation, the situation was incredibly uncomfortable and I felt a bit wronged. Taken advantage of. I felt stupid.
and I also needed someone to hold my hand to go the clinic.

Her reaction sits with me as if it was along the lines of:
"oh it's OK because the person concerned was aesthetically pleasant"
I can't remember right now the exact words she said. Probably more like "what's wrong with you, they're alright" (as in alright looking)
Maybe she had a brain fart and didn't quite grasp the side of the situation where I went out for a few beers with this person, and didn't exactly set out to end up being screwed on my living room floor by them, left wondering if I had consented or not (I don't think I would have, but being p*ssed as a fart I would have just likely gone along with the whole thing because I'm dumb like that. But either way, it had happened and couldn't be changed, my own fault, lesson learned)

but it bothers me. If she did grasp the situation and that I was uncomfortable with it all, why would she say that being attractive makes it ok?
It doesn't. It wasn't right.

But eh. like I said, sh*t happens.

Hmm. I'm not sure I really had a point here.
Oh well

"we're all self isolating at the minute, why not come over at the weekend?"

... Because that's not how isolating works for a start?

Yeah, nah, I'd love to get out of the house right now, but mate, no.
Ken you're healthy, ken I'm healthy... Ish.
but we're restricted from socialising for a reason.
Hit me up when this is all sorted and I'll drink you under the table then, but just not now.

Yyyyup. Dumbasses. Dumbasses everywhere.

Like the ones who were told to self isolate for two weeks after visiting a covid positive patient, decided they only needed to do 7 days because they were on their own, but was then back with their famalam on the 6th day, despite saying that "I'll do nine days cos they say that if you're not showing by day nine you're fine" which where the f*ck they've heard that I have no idea but you've completely ignored the advice you were given anyway so kindly just do one.

God knows how other people who have bigger social circles than me feel, we don't have a huge family and I have fewer friends, but the level of bullsh*t I have seen by just some of this limited amount of people has been astounding.

Had to go pick up my pal, her dogs and her sister in law up today as an insurance company f*ck up has seen her partners insurance lapse in March and the car has been seized by the police and she's facing six points on her license which is fab when she has a driving heavy job

So yay for mixing houses and woohoo for online only insurance companies where the only thing you can do over the phone is claim or buy a policy.

Mate keeps giving me stupid advice and not listening to what I'm saying.

"You should get a dog"
No, I can't get a dog because when I'm working I'm gone from the house for 13 hours, I can't afford the food and vets bills, and I have no real back garden for it.

"You're putting in far too much effort into your college course"
No, I'm putting in the effort that's required. It's an online course that I'm doing outside of work hours, so yes it is taking up a lot of my time, but it still has to be done. Even though it doesn't matter what grade I get by the end of it, I still have to actually learn this sh*t for work. Also, you're a f*cking college lecturer. How are you, of all people, saying I'm putting in too much effort?

"Have you tried (whatever dating app) recently?"
No, and stop f*cking pressuring me about it. I know how to do it, I know they exist, but I am too all over the place and not in the mood.

I don't know how many more times I need to politely point this sh*t out or passive aggressively try to change the subject, but it annoys me way the f*ck more than it helps.

My Mum works in a supermarket, my step dad is shielding so so it’s a worry that they won’t be able to keep safe.

Today she got upset because the supermarket was letting 300 people in the store at the same time, she was working on the same aisle as 15 other shoppers and people going the wrong way and not keeping her distance. Because the supermarket values profit over safety. It took her getting really upset for them to start letting less people in.

A) people are ducking w*nkers not keeping distance when supermarket workers have to be out, it’s ignorant, they are keyworkers too and should be respected. B) why did my mum have to get so upset to have something done when this is a massive company whose adverts promote how amazing their measures are and that they keep staff and shoppers safe when they obviously don’t give a cow about it

Would it be worth her putting it in writing to her boss, maybe from several/most of the staff? At least then it's on file etc, possibly more likely to get a proper response if the manager feels they could go over his head with it if he doesn't act.

It's horrible though. Staff like your mum deserve proper safeguarding and help from the management with everything that's going on.

Tesco have started a 50% sale on F&F

Which is great. Because to do so, they have removed the 50% staff clothing discount, which was supposed to run until tomorrow.

The new offer doesn't cover underpants.
I went specifically to buy underpants today because it was the last day of half price underpants.

Anyway, my snake is a d*ckhead and so is my dog.
When I got a puppy I stupidly assumed that, like jake, other folk would bother to work with him and it wouldn't all be down to me and I wouldn't have a clingy knobhead wrapped round my feet constantly and darting over roads from people to get back to me.

So yeah. That was a f*ck up.

Looks like I'll still be on a four-day week and working from home for the next month again. Had lots of motivation for working from home at the start. Slowly losing it. Still even have my alarm to go off 2 hours before I've to get up because at the start I was going for a walk every morning. Now I just lie in bed on the phone.

Gotta buck the f*ck up. Gotta lose weight. Gotta build muscle. Gotta getta girlfriend. Gotta getta gateaux. Gotta getta gateaux cake. When you want it freshly baked you gotta getta gateaux cake.

Doing a project for my online college course, where we all communicate in a group chat thing on Google+ (yes, it somehow still exists). One woman, as she has done for every other project so far, has asked 3 different times today, on 3 different topics:

"I'm getting different values than you. Can anyone tell me where I'm going wrong?"

No, we can't tell you where you're going wrong because you f*cking haven't f*cking shown us what you f*cking did so we can f*cking see what you f*cking did wrong. You f*cking f*ck-f*ck. How have you not realised this yet when someone has to point it out to you every single time on every project we've done so far?

And when she finally posted what she did on one of them and I pointed out what she did wrong, she told me that I was wrong. (I'm not, and after a few others pointed it out too, she accepted it)

Jesus I need to get finished this course. One week. Just one more week. I get to have weekends again. I'll do nothing worthwhile with them, but they'll be mine. Not college's, not this annoying asshole's... mine....
