Quote: Lilac_Leopard'A lot' is generally bandwagoners and Man U fans. Nobody felt like that before it was the cool thing to do.
To be fair, it's the 'cool thing to do' to hate United these days - not in Leeds obv, but a lot of post-Euro 96 bandwagon jumpers have an axe to grind, no matter who they support.
Arsenal fans are particularly bad for it. There is no historical rivalry between United and Arsenal because the clubs are 200 miles apart, yet the new breed of Arsenal fan is obsessed with United. Saw one gimp with 'We 8 Man U' on his brand new replica. Felt like informing him that his rivals are Spurs, but cba.
This also explains why a lot of southern student knobs in Manchester think they're being clever by going to watch City. Some people are so obsessed with United they'd actually pay good money to watch that shower of sh*t just because they're our local rivals.
