The end

Oh no! It is really sad 'Zine is ending. I will miss you like a scary chav misses Red Bull, and shouting at shy people, and driving his tiny scooter past your house at 2am.

What do you call a chav in a box?

149 and feeling fine

Last time 'Zine ended, I'd sent 100 letters and retired some time before. But the digital revival started me off again, and in two years I've sent a further, hang on, let me count... 149. Blast. Another week and I might have made 150. This is definitely my last one, so 149 it is. I hope at least a few have been worth reading. Thank you for the happy times, 'Ziners one and all, and cheers, WLW - see you on VR!

End Of 'Zine party

Well I am planning an "End Of 'Zine" party. I think we should have a film party. I was mulling about a 'Star Wars Meets The Rocky Horror Picture Show meets Star Wars with alcohol'. And, for Mondo, Santa Claus meets The Ice Cream Bunny without alcohol'. Does that sound like a good idea?

End of 'Zine as we know it

Well, it's been a good run. Here's some motivational speeches I've memorised for an occasion like this. Ahem:
"Strike me down and I'll become more powerful than you can ever imagine".
"Hasta la Vista, Baby" in conjunction with "I'll be back".
"Tonight we dine in hell".
And don't mess up the place after you leave, I'll probably have to clean up. That's not a speech, it's a warning!
The Janitor
Mr Motivator you ain't.

Hmm, WLW changed my "49" to "149" (after the 'let me count' part); I actually have only sent 49 since 'Zine's been digital, so it's 149 in total over nearly eight years. Probably should've made that clearer.

Also, what's with the reply? Something to do with missing letters? Hmm.

i think the reply might mean that WLW will miss your letters.

Or it could be because there was a mention of chavs on page 1, which inspired WLW to reply in a text talky way.

So long as they don't Google for where the Wikipedia entry went, as I did in order to accidentally find this place, then all should be okay.

If I have in fact just jinxed us, I'll make/buy you a cup of tea.

yeah, its been mentioned plenty of times before, and hinted at even more. Besides, if they'd ever seen the 'Zine wiki page or even the deletionapedia page thing they could easily find us

What I found most shocking is that you've only written in 149 letters. Pretty much the definition of quality not quantity

If you've seen That Mitchell And Webb Look, series one I believe had Robert Webb as a character like Adam Hart-Davis using things to make science/history more fun.

Also, I have just remembered possibly seeing Adam Hart-Davis in a similar situation to the one Barry mentioned, but I forget whether I'm thinking of a bike or a bath. Bit of a grey area.
