Placebo covered the Smiths "Bigmouth Strikes Again"

And it sounds good. Better than the original, because I really don't like Morrisey or the Smiths.

yes yes yes! i hate the smiths. and morrisey. but big mouth (the placebo version) is amazing! i lvoe brians voice and thats a live recording too which makes it even beta!
you are love to me, an epiphany,

Technically sexy.

oh- the Eels song, Jennie's Diary (whatever, I can't spell it) until this morning, I thought he sang:

"you're Genie is tired" or "you're Genie is dyeing"

Which I thought was a very powerful and emotional line...but he doesn't say that, he just says the name on the song.... It's stupid.

on the plus side however, I could collect all the misheard lyrics I have ever heard and lump them together into one super song. That'd be cool.

My housemate Stoo thought the lyrics to Grace by Supergrass were

"Say you wanna fire children" (its "Save your money for the children")

I'VE ONLY GONE AND FIGURED OUT THOSE PIXIES "WHERE IS MY MIND" LYRICS!!!!!!!!

"They told me east was west and I swear, yes I swear they were trying to cry"

I got this from several live performances where he had to take some bits out, I've pieced together the missing bits, and that's what it is!

Still fairly convinced about my version - I've heard a recording of him live, still sure he sings that. It's not unknown for a lyrics site to get it wrong. It happens fairly often.

My sister heard misheard Sleepflower by the Manics -

"You were an extinction, a desert heat" became
"You were an extension that doesn't reach".

And "Parliament's a fake lifesaver" in You Love Us sounds like "Parmesan, a fake light sabre".

I thought it was son and air in How Soon Is Now an' all.

i've only ever mis-heard two lyrics: both sh*te songs.

1) Shania Twain- That Don't impress me much. I thought it was ''I can't believe you kiss your c*ck at night" (i apologise). when it was actually "I can't believe you kiss your car good night"

also, another sh*te song. 2) Elton John: I want Love. Instead of 'I want love on my own terms" I heard "I want love on mountains"

I truly am an embarrasment to society.

"What the World is Waiting For - Stone Roses"

My lyrics - You see that great big whale that he's living in,
he don't need a loaf or a roof.

Real lyrics - You see that burnt out world that he's living in,
I don't need to look for the rules.

Easy mistake!

Pixies- 'Monkey Bound to Heaven'

What i heard: 'This night is bound to happen'

I know these lyrics probably make more sense but the title should have given me a clue lol

I hear the roar of a big machine....

Real lyrics:
He shook his head and he said with a smile,
what Id really like, dad, is to borrow the car keys.
See you later. can I have them please ?

My lyrics:
His shoe is dead, he threw a mile,
'well i really like the dead, and to burrow the car keys.
See you later. Captain Cheese

That and Red Dwarf are my two favourite TV theme tunes.

It was apparantly John Sullivan (the show's creator) that sang the theme tune, but every time I hear it, the voice sounds so similar to Nicholas Lyndhurst that i'm still not convinced it's not him.
