I thought these might interest some of the arty farty types on here

www.conceptcupboard.com is a site where companies put up briefs for graphic design and marketing projects, you pitch your designs and ideas and the best one gets paid.

www.civicboom.com is something similar but for written content. As far as I can tell you don't get paid and there aren't any big clients, but it's a way of getting your work out there.

Nice idea, Annie.

I'm on a project group at work to create a kit for people wanting to set up creative writing workshops, and as part of that we're having a look at online resources. If anyone's interested I'll post some on here when it's finished.

Heres a few good ones for writers:

www.WeBook.com, i was a very active member on there until they changed direction..it's gone from a bustling community to something similar to VR these days.

www.inkpop.com, More for younger writers but it's a very active place.

www.authonomy.com, a really good site if you can get through all of the self publicity some of the members constantly do, and if you get to the top of the pile cold even land a book deal with harper collins.
Never take life seriously.
