I lie alone waiting for you;
the moonbeam shining through
a gap in the curtains,
falling where your head should be resting.
That side is cold and empty;
i leave a space
in case
you're there by the time i awake.
I shiver; my body is cold without you
to keep it warm and cosy.
my mind is cold without you
to keep it warm and cosy.
Hold me like my mummy once did;
to remind me what it feels like to be
cared for again and i'll be
warm and cosy til
the second you let me go.
Til the second you come
i'll be waiting for
the second you come.
