i think i come on VR because i think of some of the people here as friends. And i s'pose it's also because i don't know many people in real life.

The last time that i cut myself was because of something to do with VR, though.

I want all the people to come back to VR. Was just having a nose through my PMs and there's lovely messages from lovely people and I don't speak to them anymore and it makes me sad. I know life moves on and I'm a grown up now and this is just a website and all that business but I do miss all the lovely times I've had on VR.

2 hours of exercise at the gym, a long walk and playing on adult-sized monkey bars... you'd think I'd be tired. No.

I need to sprint or box or something, but it's too dark out and I have no torch. Also flatmate is taking up the only room in which there is room to box.



I am beginning to realise why they invented padded cells. There seems to be something inherently satisfying about throwing yourself as hard as you can into something. Though a trampoline-wall room would be better, I think.

Must be some psychic, synchronicitous stuff going down at the minute. On the same night I dreamed that Henry Blofeld died, I had a dream that someone on VR sent me a PM (this was probably influenced by me using the novelty of the new, fast VR, and being able to get back into my account to look through a load of PMs from the old days). Given that there aren't many of us who still use the site, wasn't entirely sure I'd ever get one again, but here we are, a couple of days after, and Straws has just sent me one

Such sh*t news. And I get why people are writing on his wall but why are people putting up statuses to all their friends and tagging him? It just seems attention seeking and disrespectful to who was an amazing person. Maybe it's not meant in that way, maybe it's just so "automatic" in today's social media society, but it really bugged me. Most wall posts were lovely to read though and it's nice that so many people have such nice memories and things to say.

Personally speaking, I left a message on James' wall as the words I wish I could say to him. The status I posted on my own Facebook only had him tagged in a comment. There's a lot of people who didn't have him added as a friend as Alice rightly points out.

James' death has affected us all in various ways, same as VR has had different impacts on our lives and who we are as people. I see the statuses people are posting on their own profiles as being a way for them to tell people close to them that they have lost someone who gave them so much. For people like myself who have mental health issues, it can help explain a change in mood.

I don't think anyone's intending to attention-seek over James's death, but wanting to let people know who might not be in the Facebook group, didn't have James added on Facebook or visit this place any more. Some might also feel that writing on his wall is too personal (I did but thought 'f*ck it') as that's usually something that close friends and family do, not people who barely knew him outside of an internet forum.
