I'd gone out with some ex workmates straight after work for a couple of cheeky pints, since it was a leaving do. As always happens when I go for one or two, those one or two became 4 or 5...

It did actually give me some valued information into where to buy cheap as hell Westons cider.

Things weren't helped by my phone dying, so the text Alice sent never got to me till this morning.

I have no idea what possessed me to do it but today I have bought a USB Midi Controller Keyboard, just like this one

Honestly, I was sat watching Gary Numan videos on Youtube when something in my head clicked and half an hour later I was in Sounds Live forking out £75 for it. Talk about a crazy, impulsive decision. I am seriously hoping that the France trip doesn't go ahead now just so that I can actually start saving some money

I do love it though, I've been playing with it ever since I got home

You should have said you were thinking about it, I could have directed you to a few similiarly pricd but better models. Even so the Oxygen is ace bit of kit. I have an Axiom sat next to me at the moment.

Which reminds me I need to see if that spill damaged it. :/
I now need to get Reason up to you even more. The fun you can have with that keyboard and that software....

There was no thinking about it phase, otherwise I wouldn't have gone to Sounds Live. It's an excellent shop as long as you know EXACTLY what you want, otherwise the staff will try to get you to buy the most expensive thing that they have in the stockroom.

I'm still loving it immensely. It's making my Sibelius work less stressful so it is the best impulse buy ever in my book

Yes, I tried to reply but posthandler deleted it for me (I think). Anyhow, if the reply worked, then it went in your inbox

Basically it said, "cheers for the info. I shall check it out!"

And it's no problem. I won't get back until Friday (ish), but I can check for you. Do you want me to hand out your CV to places for you?

Well it'll be a while yet, hopefully before the big deadline though. Ideally post-Athens.
I should be able to move down rent free on the sly for a few weeks so I'll start the job hunt then.
Nothing has even been confirmed yet, I shouldn't get so excited.

I have consumed far too many calories today! 2 poached eggs on toast for breakfast. A McDonald's sausage and egg McMuffin meal for second breakfast. A cup of coffee. A Lion bar. A packet of Salt and Vinegar flavoured crisps. 3 pints. Nachos. A Chicken and bacon sandwich. Nearly a whole packet of Fox's fruit sweets. A KFC Zinger Tower meal and one of those cheesy BBQ wraps. A wispa bar and a Rice Krispie square.

I am going on a f*cking diet tomorrow.

Also, 27 quid for a taxi from Ealing Shopping centre to Wembley stadium, when it was only 2 quid back on the bus from outside the Carramore Pub in Brent Park. A pub which had what looked like a bullet hole in the window, but the land lady was spot on. Carlisle were sh*t and 4-1 flattered Southampton. And cushioned seats in the middle tier of Wembley. Oh how the other half live.

Being grumpy

I have a ton of little things that I NEED to get done for tomorrow. Non of them are hard, just time consuming. And I don't want to do them even though they are important.

That stupid singing contest is on wed. I've said over and over again that I don't want to do it anymore (I admit, it was in a jokey whiny voice so thats why I wasn't taken seriously) and I've been told that I've committed and that I'm doing it.

Honestly, I just want to sleep for a week

Today has been a strange one.
I argued with a German woman for half an hour about the difference between soup and a potato, had to calm down two colleagues who were verging on the hysterical after the work experience boy told them he could see a ghost with a bag of oranges standing in the middle of the shop and the night out I've been organising for weeks turned out to be a total failure because people thought the facebook events page I made was a joke.
I'm destined never to be taken seriously in this life.
