OK Guys, here's the thing. I got a favour to ask. The dev team at my new job are entered in a competition to win some kickass prizes, and gain mucho prestige. And I'd like to enlist some people from here to vote for them in the public vote!
The competition was to make a fancy web application in Ruby on Rails in 48 hours. The team, naturally spent 46 hours drinking beer and eating pizza, the other 2 on doing the app. However, it ended up OK, and it got through the first round of voting to the final shortlist of 22.
As I write this the app is in 4th place, and not far off the top!
So here's the deal - go to http://r09.railsrumble.com/entries - and click on the button saying "I Want To Vote" near the top. It'll ask for your OpenID. If you've got a Gmail account or a Yahoo account just pick them from the little drop down to the right, and click sign in. If you haven't got those, and don't know what an OpenID is... it's a bit of a pain, so I wouldn't bother.
Anyway, then you'll be able to vote. Their app is called Bartender, and is really cool - click on all the app names to test them out, if you want to see what others have done. It would be nice if you could leave a comment too
