I think unless there's a medical reason or a religious reason there isn't a point. I don't prefer...it...one way or another, I just think maybe it's there for a reason.

Hehehe, I think this thread is bold for VR.

Pfft. VR needs some spicing up!

And I agree as well. Apparently though, it can be better hygiene-wise (i'll leave those images up to you :p) but to be honest, if you wash enough, surely it can't be THAT much of a problem...

I think a lot of p*rn agencies look to cast circumsised male actors, as it's not only more hygienic, but also makes their penises look bigger on screen. So, if you were to combine the lack of a foreskin with a flat stomach and shaven pubes, magically - you'd have a bigger c*ck (albeit only visually).

Then you would want to combine that with a small petite actress, around 5-5"7 ft tall, give her some high heels so the viewer will be decieved by the scale of the actor's penis to the woman's body.

Lastly, you could get somebody walk through the door like Ron Jeremy, who's c*ck is so big, he can bend down and suck it, not only without having several ribs removed, but over a beer belly, too. Apart from being every single man's dream, a guy like that would only need to get the snip for hygience reasons and not cosmetic like others.

Personally, I wouldn't want it done. It can be better for cleanliness, and for any person who may wish to put it in their mouth not to have the worry of post-oral flossing, but it has negative factors as well. Without the protective foreskin, the helmet of the penis can rub against underwear and become hard and shiny, almost like a varnished nail. Too me, that sounds scary, but I'm sure there are ways to combat this - it's just never something that's appealed to me.

Damn bats

In addition the doctors could always screw it up and cut off the head of your penis leaving you unable to cum and freaking out everyone who saw it

Yeah, that definately would be pleasant and is another reason why they're chosen over non-circumcised male actors. There are definately some aesthetic reasons for a lot of p*rn stars, as it does make the penis look bigger. Also the friction from constant rubbing desensitizes the glands, so they have better control in orgasm and can potentially perform for longer periods of time.

P*rn aside, the Old Testament advocates it. Genesis Chapter 17, God tells Abraham that all males born in to his household, or bought with his money must be circumcised and any male who isn't circumcised is breaking God's Covenant. Although there are still some people who follow the teachings of the old testament, the new testament is far more relaxed on the subject.

Corinthians 7:18 and 7:19 are an example that springs to mind.

"Is any man called being circumcised? let him not become uncircumcised. Is any called in uncircumcised? let him not become circumcised.

"Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcisum is nothing, but the keeping of the commandments of God."

Therefore, you are no longer breaking the covenant of God if you have not been circumcised. Now, it's up to you - as long as you keep his commandments..it's irrelevant to being a good Christian. I am not religious, but I can understand people doing it for whatever religious reasons, too.

I agree with Claire; for medical or religious reasons then fine, but otherwise I can't understand the point to it.

What I do disagree with is this; when I was born Mum was next to a Muslim woman who wanted her child circumsized, but the midwife was trying to talk her out of it, saying it wasn't right, that it was wrong and unfair. Surely if this was the choice of the woman the midwife had no right to interfere? Someone's going to be emotional enough after the birth of their child without someone interfering like this. This sort of meddling probably isn't allowed today though, this was 17 years ago, but it's still wrong. It's their decision, and their culture, and if they wish to continue it then so be it.

Surely it's far easier and less painful for a baby to be circumcised than, for example, a 15 year old?

I don't think it's easier or less painful for a baby, it may just seem less painful, as the baby is going to be less aware, and isn't going to be affected by the no sex for [x amount of time] restrictions.

I'm not cut, as they may or may not say, but having foreskin has often worried me, what if it were to tear?! I've had enough problems down there without a split foreskin to add to the list.

I could just be careful, mind...Yes, I'll do that.
I hope some day, for some reason, David Duchovny is investigated by the FBI. Because that would make a great story.

But then my Dad and his brothers are (they're Jewish) and, although it's not something we've discussed in detail (or at all, really), it's never done them any harm either.

Maybe it doesnt do any harm, but are there enough benefits? Aesthetics not being one, as thats subjective.

Yeah, but not that many guys have tight foreskins, so surely you should wait till they're old enough to discover if its a problem, rather than circumcision at birth?

I know a Jewish guy, so once upon a time we inadvertantly got talking about peni, and came to the comclusion that its better to have it cut off. (just teh foreskin, not the penis).

mainly cause of the 'better sex' thing, it feels a lot better. but also for hygene and crap like that.

Not here much.

I had a severely infected foreskin as a child, and so it was removed. Can't say as I've had any problems.

(Sheesh. First the foreskin, then the left bollock - by the time I'm 35 I ain't gonna have any genitalia at this rate!)
Too often we lose sight of life's simple pleasures. Remember, when someone annoys you, it takes 42 muscles in your face to frown. But it only takes 4 muscles to extend your arm and slap the motherf*cker upside the head.

Actually, I have confirmation from someone who had to have his foreskin vapourised that it was actually better afterwards. Confirmed by his girlfriend
