Custard (especially hot) is food of the Gods, I have just recently discovered it is 3billion times nicer with cinnamon, grated chocolate, and nutmeg stirred in before heating.

BUT:

kelly says:
y do u disown alex?
Apple strudel without custard?? Boyfriend, I Disown Thee!! says:
because he doesnt like custard!! not even with apple strudel!!
kelly says:
i dont either - tis very horrible

BLASPHEMY!!

Surely I cannot be the only one who likes custard??

I seem to have been disowned in the process of you liking custard....

Don't worry, I know you're not talking about me.

Personally, I find the idea of eating custard comparable to drinking a pint of horse semen. I may be exaggerating, but I've made my point. Especially lumpy custard. It makes me gag.

I like the cold, pre-made stuff (like Ambrosia - poke me with sticks if you will... ) poured over piping hot desserts, like cake/strudel/pie etc. I can't eat either the dessert nor the custard any other way.

Hot custard and spotted d*ck/sticky toffee pudding... very nice.

with stewed apple... OOOOOOOOOOO heaven.

And whilst I've never tried it with ice cream, in principle I can imagine it working surprisingly well. Mmmmm... *ponders*

LIES

You must be forcefed custard till you like it!! (Going to the ubermeet? If so, then be glad I'm not....*looks scary*)

My love for custard has now been heighted by discovering putting that, cinnamon, nutmeg, and grated chcolate in a bowl, heating and stirring, and eating with joy.....

I'm the only person in my family not to like it. Just the thought of it repulses me. Especially the skin. And lumps. Ugh, lumpy custard and the thought of it sliding down the back of your throat...and it doesn't even taste nice. This is making me feel ill.

Rice pudding is also foul. And semolina. I just get these images of school meals: our school's were second hand from a local school 'cos it didn't have a kitchen so the food was quite yuk.
And custard is revolting. In fact, liquid food in general is.

I like semolina and custard but only very hot. My brother used to eat cold semolina with grated cheese...

I like rice pudding but strangely enough only the watery school dinner rice pudding we got at primary school.

I agree with Martin, jelly cubes fresh from t' packet are great.

(Try melting plain chocolate over blackcurrant cubes and cool. It's...different. But better than custard.)

I prefer to eat jelly with a straw. Try it. It makes little circular holes in the surface. Put the straw in a little, suck, and turn the straw around and eat it from the bottom.
